Isaac’s Wells and the Modern Middle East
October 8th, 2006 | Permalink
Pertinent to today and the conflict in the Middle East are the wells and land that Isaac had from back in his time. Isaac trusted in the agreements he made with the surrounding area’s leader. Yet, he was forced to go and had to re-dig the wells of Abraham. The people in the area strove with Isaac over his land. He had become powerful and his neighbors envied him.
Today, modern Israel sits on land that was given to them by their fathers. Yet, their neighbors keep claiming that the land is theirs. God gave the land to the Israelites, but the people in the area have continued from the time of Isaac to today striving and desiring that land. Listen to Brother Goodwin detail the similarities between what Isaac did in his day and what the country of Israel is doing today in regards to the conflict in the Middle East.

God’s School of Brokeness
September 24th, 2006 | Permalink
God has a school that few apply for admission to. It is a school of brokenness. It is higher education; indeed it is the highest educational level that can be achieved in this life. It is a sacred school of submission.
Jesus said in Matthew 21:44 that we can fall on the rock and break, or else the rock will fall on us and grind us to powder. Falling on the rock and breaking is not a single act, it is a process. That process is taught in God’s Sacred School of Submission and Brokenness. Listen now to Brother Goodwin explain more of how we can learn the most from our walk with the Savior.

Dereliction of Duty
September 3rd, 2006 | Permalink
In today’s society, people seem to be more concerned with how to be blessed, than with being a blessing to others. The call in modern day churches is not one of an absolute standard, but rather an “anything goes” mindset. Yet, the Bible tells us that our duty to Christ is to be a daily sacrifice to God, that we are His temple, and we are not to be conformed to this passing world’s ideals.
What exactly are our duties as Christians? As we learn in this broadcast, there are three aspects of our duty - a duty to self, to God, and to others. Follow along with Brother Goodwin as he explains each area of our responsibilities.
