Spiritual lethargy can creep in to any Christian’s life, but especially any of us who have been serving the Lord for any length of time. The satanic attack is not a direct one today. We read of the restoration of temple worship in such books as Esther, Ezra, Nehemiah. Looking at the difficulties that surrounded these Old Testament saints as they attempted to restore their city and temple, we can learn much and gain encouragement. This land of promise had great potential, yet it required much work and also had much resistance from the neighboring people.
